Located in the high Argondino, at the foot of Mount Cislope, and reflected in the water of the lake of the same name, Alleghe originated from a landslide in 1771. Today it is a modern summer and winter vacation destination. The Alleghe ski area, connected to the Palafavera, Salva di Cadora and Valzoldana ski areas, forms the Cislope complex, some 20 slopes distributed between 1000 and 2100 meters in altitude. The downhill slopes, served by an efficient network of facilities, extend for a total of 30 kilometers and are of medium difficulty. Cross-country skiers have one route at their disposal, 8 kilometers long, which unites Alleghe with Santa Maria delle Grazie and Caprile. Various itineraries exist for alpine skiers, who can cross the Bois Valley and ascend the summits of surrounding mountains. For after-ski, there are local handicraft shops with objects in bronze and wrought iron, ice palace, bars, restaurants and discotheques. |
