Description
Main town of the Fiemme Valley, located in the valley of the same name in front of the impressive chain of the Lagorai mountains, to the right watershed of the Avisio River. The town is a popular vacation resort furnished for winter sports. The ski area surrounds the Cermis Alps and is served by quick lift facilities reaching 2250 meters in altitude. From this height numerous slopes of varying difficulty wind down, including the "Salera,” "Olimpia" and "Busabella.

” From the valley many cross-country ski trails depart. Some are situated near Cavalese, others near the bordering towns. The longest trail, 8 km, is located in the vicinity of Fiemme Castle, at an elevation of 980 meters. There are also interesting itineraries for alpine skiers who, departing from Molina, can ascend to Ziolera Peak, at 2478 meters in elevation. We recall, besides, that the Fiemme Valley is included in the circuit of the “Dolomiti Superski,” the ski-pass that permits skiing in 12 different areas, for a total of 150 km of slopes, of which 50 have artificial snow.
To see, the 12th-century parish church rebuilt in the 1600’s, the palace of the “Magnifica Comunità,” the church of Saints Sebastiano and Fabiano and the church of S.Vigilio.
