Description
A mountain town from the 13th century located in the high Badia Valley, near the peaks of the Sassongher, it is today the most important tourist site in the valley. The unmatchable contour of the Dolomite mountains of Puez and the Sella group represent an authentic paradise for hikers and mountaineers.

In the winter season the ski area is well served by lift facilities, allowing one to reach the so-called “Sella Ronda,” the long trail that winds within the Sella group. The downhill slopes, of varying difficulty, reach 2530 meters in elevation and cover over 40 km. Among these we note the “Boè,” “Vallon” and “Pralongià.” For cross-country skiing there are different trails appropriately prepared, in the Colfosco zone.
To see, the old parish church of S. Caterina (12th century), which contains a canvas from the 1200’s and a small wooden altar from the 16th century.
