Description
An ancient medieval center of the Tuscan Apennines located on the eastern side of the Lima River, it is now a summer and winter holiday resort. The ski area is located in the two areas of Doganaccia and Pian di Novello, which are not connected and require different ski-passes.

The lift facilities, 2 funiculars, 1 chairlift and 8 ski lift, reach 1750 meters in altitude. From this height various slopes wind down, some of them furnished with facilities for making artificial snow. Among these we note the 'Direttissima,' 'Faggio di Maria' and 'Beatrice.' Lovers of cross-country skiing have at their disposal two circuits of average difficulty; that at Pian di Novello is 15 km long, the other at Doganaccia extends for about 5 km.
To see, the parish church, containing paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, the church of the Madonna di Piazza and the Pretorio Palace, dating to the 1300's, with crests of the Capitani della Mountain.
