Description
An ancient settlement inhabited since the iron age by the Celtic people, subsequently overtaken by the Romans. Today it is a tourist destination in the high Pustera Valley, located at the mouth of the San Silvestro Valley, at the crossroad between the road leading to Austria and the “Alemagna,” the ancient commercial route between Venice and Bavaria.

The ski area, which includes many lifts and slopes, is made up of two distinct areas. One part leads to the left side of the S. Silverstro watershed; the other goes towards the town of Rienza. There is an even wider range of choices for cross-country skiers, who have at their disposition the ideal place, with trails of varying difficulty spread over more than 100 km. Some of these are suitable for competition at an international level, such as the “Marathon of the Pustera Valley,” a competition with a distance of 60 km that takes place every year in mid-January.
