Lesa is a holiday and health resort situated in a bay on the west side of Lake Maggiore in the province of Novara. At one time the property of the Bishops of Milan, it became the property of the Visconti in the ?????? century before passing into the hands of the Borromeo family.

In Via Fontana on the lakeside, you can visit Villa Stampa which has a room displaying memorabilia of Alessandro Manzoni and his visits to Lesa. In the village of Villa, there is the Church of San Sebastiano, built in the eleventh century, with Romanesque apse and bell tower.
