Famous above all for being a border zone and a paradise for purchases, it is one of the most beautiful towns in the Alps, immersed in a unique landscape, at the limit of the treeline. The town extends for about 13 kilometers along the Spoel River. The ski area covers both sides of the valley, connected by an optimum ski bus service. Thirty lift facilities, reaching elevations of 2800 meters, access 85 km of packed slopes, mostly adapted to beginners and to those of average ability. Around Salin Lake some steeper descents are available for expert skiers. Lovers of cross-country skiing have at their disposition some 30 km of prepared trails that wind along the valley, as well as other natural itineraries in Federia Valley. There are also various alternatives for after-ski: swimming pool, ice skating, horse-drawn sleds, snowmobiling, guide school on ice, game room, sauna, cinema, bars, pizzerias, restaurants, discotheques and night clubs.
