This health resort and industrial town is situated at the north end of the west side of Lake Iseo. In the town itself is the Church of Santa Maria in Valvendra, built between 1473 and 1483, with a portico in front. Inside there are frescoes by Ferramola and organ doors painted by Moretto da Brescia and Ferramola. In Piazza Garibaldi you can visit the Galleria dell’Accademia Tadini which has a porcelain display, a small archaeological collection, and paintings by Bellini, Lorenzo Veneziano, Civerchio, Paris Bordone, Callisto Piazza, Parmigianino, Fra’ Galgario, Strozzi and others. |
