Description
An ancient mountain center which developed due to the mining of copper and iron, Predazzo is located in the Fiemme Valley, where the Travignolo River joins the Avisio. Today it is a popular tourist town near well-furnished ski areas. The lift facilities are located in the town of Ziano di Fiemme and in the area of Bellamonte, reaching 2000 meters in altitude. From this altitude one can wind down various slopes, of which we note "Belvedere,” "Bellamonte-Castelir" and "Bellamonte-La Morea.

” Predazzo is also included in the vast circuit of the "Dolomiti Superski,” which permits one to ski with a single pass in 12 different areas, for a total of 150 km of slopes, of which 50 have artificial snow. There are also excellent opportunities for lovers of cross-country skiing, with over 40 km of slopes at their disposal, distributed around the towns of Ziano, Predazzo and Bellamonte. Particularly popular destinations for alpine skiers are Litegosa Peak, 2548 meters in elevation, and Cece Peak, 2754 meters in elevation.
The after-ski activities offer numerous choices: natural ice skating rink, covered swimming pool, two trampolines, covered bocce and tennis courts, game room, cinema, bars and discotheques.
