Description
Located on Gran Sasso, at the slopes of Mount Corno Piccolo, it is a well-known tourist site furnished for winter sports and an excellent base for hiking and for ascents of the surrounding mountains.

The ski area covers the northern walls of Corno Piccolo and includes one chairlift and 7 ski-lifts. From an elevation of 2000 meters numerous slopes of varying difficulty wind down, for a total of 20 km. Lovers of cross-country skiing have at their disposition a 3 km circuit, located in the Prati Bassi area. There are unusual opportunities for alpine skiers. In the spring and summer seasons they can ski on the only glacier in the Apennines, the Calderone, located at an elevation of 2700 meters, without lift facilities.
