Description.
An ancient mountain village and the last bastion of Occitan language and culture. Situated in the high valley of the Mongia River, it has been transformed into a modern tourist resort in continuous expansion and has preserved very little of its original appearance.

There are many ski slopes, for a total of 30 kilometers. A system of artificial snow guarantees the possibility of skiing even outside the regular season. Fans of alpine skiing can ascend Bausetti Peak or traverse Serra Pamparato, Vernagli or Pra Corsaglia. Cross-country skiers have two slopes at their disposition: "Roccia dell'Aquila" and "Canalot," which together are 7 km in length. It is also possible to practice ice-skating and heli-skiing and to take romantic sledding excursions. Among the gastronomic specialties, we recommend the local cheeses: “tome,” "bruss" and "raschera," to accompany the classic Piedmont wines.
