| It is a family house, built at the beginning of last century, restructured and renewed in these past years and it still serves furniture and the atmosphere of an ancient Sicilian home. Situated in the historical centre, on the seaside, in the middle of the bay of Giardini Naxos, the hotel faces a free beach, two equipped, private lidos, various restaurants and the bus stop.
This family hotel has 19 rooms and one junior suite, one terrace, a solarium, a hall with a small library and a veranda facing the sea where we serve breakfast. Lift, parking. In the hall on the third floor you will find a small library with novels and different magazines: if you want a Sicily guide you can ask for it at reception.
On the fourth floor there is the hotel bar on our terrace with deck chairs and tables, where you may suntan and in the afternoon enjoy the changing colours of the sea, pleasantly sipping our cocktails.
A buffet breakfast is served from 7.30am to 10.00am in the beautiful and panoramic veranda overlooking the sea.
We mostly offer local products, home-made following the old recipes. Tea, barley and chocolate are products of the fair trade.
To begin tasting a little bit of Sicily you will find on the buffet: home-baked cakes of our popular tradition, almond cookies (piparelle), red oranges (sanguinelle) juice, fifteen kinds of home-made marmalade (bergamot, tangerine, oranges, red oranges, bitter oranges, pink grapefruit, lemon) and jam (mulberry, blackberry, figs, quince, cherry, strawberry, apricot, blueberry) from biological farming, honey from Etna, salamis and cheese (ricotta infornata, provola, primosale...) typically Sicilian, our fruit, besides of course yogurt, different kinds of bread, croissants, etc.
Bar
In the Bar up on the terrace, on the fourth floor, open starting at 7.30am to 12.30pm, we serve our specialties, like Almond cappuccino and our semifreddi (ice cream made with whipped cream flavoured with almond and pistachio, coffee, hazelnut), the cocktails with tangerine and red oranges juices or almond milk. Starting from 7,00pm every day Aperitif with a buffet where you can taste focacce, arancini, and other Sicilian food.
In the solarium on the fifth floor there are the deck chairs where you can suntan and a big shower made with lava stone with both hot and cold water. Parking: right in front of our hotel we have a few parking places reserved for our clients, free of charge. However we cannot assure to you the availability of these places, for they are just a few and not reserved for the single client, but can be used by all of our guests whenever available. By the way we can provide a Parking service, the client will be taken to the private parking and back. This is a pay service and it costs around 10 Euro per day. |

The rooms are all different in colour and furniture and they have private bathroom, balcony, windows with double glasses, an air conditioning and heating system directly controlled by the guest, TV set with satellite channel, internet, direct phone line.
The room is available starting from 13.00am on the day of your arrival until 12.00am on the day of check-out. After that if you need to stay more, we shall be glad to accommodate you in the halls of the hotel, you may also use a bathroom and leave your luggage with us.

It is quite easy to reach and it is at a very good starting point for excursions towards all the Sicilian territory.
Right opposite the hotel you will find the stop of the buses that come by highway all the way from Catania Airport and those that go to the railway station and then proceed up to Taormina (they pass every twenty minutes). At the same place also stop the buses to Catania and Messina and the small towns of their district, and also the private buses going for daily excursions to the main Sicilian tourist places: Etna, Alcantara gorges, Siracusa, Agrigento, Palermo, Monreale, Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone, Eolie Islands. You can book these guided tours directly at the hotel, asking the girls at reception – the guides for the excursions speak various languages.
The highway exit is one km from the hotel and it is at the intersection of the two main highways: Messina-Palermo which runs along the coast of the Tirreno and Catania-Palermo which takes the inside road instead. Also the railway station Taormina-Giardini Naxos is one km from the hotel: here stop all the trains to Messina, to Catania, to Siracusa and to Agrigento.

From the Airport
The Airport Fontanarossa of Catania is 55 km from us.
One easy way to reach our hotel is taking a bus from the airport: the “Interbus” buses leave the airport of Catania and reach Giardini Naxos in 45 minutes, via highway, arriving right in front of the hotel. You have to take a bus direction Taormina and stop in Giardini Naxos square “San Giovanni”. The cost for the ticket is about Euro 4,00 and you can buy it directly on the bus.
At the airport you will of course find also taxis waiting: the cost for the taxi to Giardini is about Euro 70,00 (allowing an extra charge for night transfers).
From the railway station
The Railway Station Taormina-Giardini Naxos is 1 km from us.
Buses to the hotel pass about every 20 minutes and they stop right in front of the hotel. You have to take a bus that goes direction Catania – the bus stop opposite the square “San Giovanni”, Giardini Naxos. We advise you to signal for the bus to stop when it passes in front of the station.
You buy the ticket on the bus.
From the highway exit
Highway A 18 Messina - Catania: exit Giardini Naxos. Distance from us 1 km.
When you exit from the highway the road to our hotel is quite simple: you must follow the directions to the centre of Giardini Naxos; after one kilometre you reach the promenade and we are right on the seaside, opposite a small square with a fountain and the church San Giovanni. The hotel has got two entrances: our main entrance is on the inside road (that is one way direction Catania); however coming from the direction of the highway exit you will see first our secondary entrance, on the seaside (the road is one way towards Taormina).

Hotel Palladio is recommended for relaxing stays.
It is located in front of the seaside, in the hearth of the lively Giardini Naxos, near private and public bus stops (buses organize excursions in the area).
The hotel's interiors give a familiar atmosphere, also thanks to an excellent, considerate service.
Bedrooms are roomy and pleasant, all have balcony and many of them have sea view.
Bathrooms, mostly with shower, are comfortable and well kept.
Strong point of Palladio is its panoramic terrace, where the guests can relax and enjoy the bar.
The restaurant offer local specialities. Breakfast affords typical organic products.
The hotel has outdoor private parking places and a private garage in the area. Both services are for money.

A good sound hotel offering a seaside location in quite a pleasant location, we had a basic but pleasing double room with balcony over looking the sea,t he staff were very friendly and helpful and immediately made us feel welcome.
An excellent value for money hotel within a half hour drive from the top of Etna.

Un hotel sencillo y limpio a un precio muy aceptable, lo mejor es la gente que lo lleva, atentos y con todas las ganas del mundo de ayudarte (aunque de español poco). Por la mañana hay ruido en la calle, pero eso no culpa suya...

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen ! Das Zimmer war neu, geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Leitung des Hotels war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der einzige Nachteil ist der Straßenlärm. Mit geschlossenen Fenstern ist er zu ertragen und sollte nicht vor einem Aufenthalt in diesem sehr schönen Hotel abhalten.

Up on the fourth floor in the terrace overlooking the seaside there is also our restaurant, open for lunch and dinner where we also serve cold dishes all day long. We cook old style: using only fresh food and fish daily fished we prepare dishes of our traditional cooking. We have a choices of menus a la carte or a complete menu at € 20,00. |
