Oliveto Citra. From the hotel it is possible to have a scenic view of the entire Sele valley. This was an important commercial centre as it was the most relevant link between Adriatic sea and Tirreno sea during greek period.
The landscape is still in good condition as people who lived there during the past centuries used the place to obtain all that the area could offer without abusing of it. Today Sele valley is known as a turistic place where it is possible to enjoy the traditional habits and use of the region.
The most important attraction in Oliveto Citra is the castle of norman origins. In the castle it is possible to visit the archeological museum of the high volley of the sele. The castle is also famous for being attraction of pilgrims who come in this place to pray for the Madonna, who is considered the queen of the castle.
The hotel is located in a strategic position as it is very closed to the beauty centers in Contursi terme. It is also very clesed to the villa of Ayala of valva, to the archeological location Antica Volcei in Buccino, and to Saint Gerard maiella’s sanctuary in Materdomini. Half an hour by car far from the hotel it is also possible to visit paestum’s temples, Pertosa’s caves and Padula’s certosa.
