| Built on the site of a 6th century castle, this beautiful oasis of peace and tranquility is the perfect getaway for a romantic rendezvous with that special someone. There are a wide range of activities on offer which enable our guests to combine relaxation with more energetic activities such as mountain biking, trekking, horse riding or game shooting. We are proud to offer our own organic produce, which we invite you to enjoy in our lovingly restored restaurant, Locanda Montelucci, enjoying spectacular views over vineyards and country estate. Enjoy traditional Tuscan fare carefully prepared using only our own or local natural produce. Choose from our ‘A La Carte’ Menu boasting home raised Chianina beef (original Florentine Steak),Senese prosciutto and wine produced from our own vineyard. Centrally featured in our spacious and locally renowned restaurant is an antique grindstone reminding us that this was once a successful olive mill, a tradition which we have kept alive, producing and bottling our own oil on site. We organize special culinary and wine tastings (degustazione) complemented by a generous selection of fine wines including Montelucci Chianti made with Sangiovese grapes harvested from the surrounding vines. |

By CAR: A1Motorway/highway Coming from North:
Exit the A1 (Firenze-Roma) at Valdarno. After the toll, turn right at the roundabout, following signs to Montevarchi. As the road bears right, continue straight on towards Montevarchi (SR69).
A few metres later there is a yellow ‘Api’ garage on the left, take the immediate left fork here towards Levane (SP11). Then take the right at the end.
Follow this road (SP11), alongside and under the A1, until it brings you to the village of Levane.
Take a left at the traffic lights towards Arezzo (SR69). After approx. 8-10 km you will enter the small village of Poggio Bagnoli, where you take a right towards Pergine Valdarno From Pergine Valdarno simply follow the yellow signs to Fattoria Montelucci. The last 3 km to the Fattoria are along a winding dirt track.
A1Motorway/highway Coming from South:
The exit from the A1 Highway coming from south (Rome) is Arezzo. At the roundabout right out of the highway, take right following the direction towards Civitella in Valdichiana. Drive through the little village of Viciomaggio and its industrial area and follow the main road, always following the indications towards Civitella in val di Chiana. Once you’ll reach the industrial area of Badia al Pino, you’ll reach almost imediately another roundabout, where you have to take your right, still following the indications for Civitella in val di Chiana. Follow the road for about 6 km climbing up the hill. Almost at the top, you’ll find a gas station on your right, and, once you get to the hilltop, you’ll find an intersection. Take your right towards the clearly indicated direction “Fattoria Montelucci”. Follow the yellow indications “Fattoria Montelucci” or the white ones with the indication , Via Montelucci. The road, after a while, become a white one and the distance to cover is about 7 km. BY TRAIN: Florence - ( Km 80 ) From Firenze S.M.N. (main station) or Firenze Campo Marte direct trains to Arezzo
Arezzo -( km 20 ) From the station (there is only one) taxi or we can arrange to pick you up. Rome ( km 180 ) From Roma Termini (main station) direct trains to Arezzo. Milano: From Milano Centrale (main station) direct trains to Florence (Eurostar or Intercity) - change train in Florence to Arezzo. |
