| In 1884, the Venetian nobleman Count Giulio Rocca built a sumptuous mansion on the banks of river Brenta. Villa Ducale was made upon the remains of a more ancient manor-house─dating seventeenth Century─to which the beautiful park, its innumerable statues and the private chapel belonged. Today, Villa Ducale is one of the most renowned Hotels and Restaurants in the Venetian province.
The mansion, which underwent a careful restoration in the beginning of the Nineties, has got back to its original splendour: the floors’ brightness, the frescos’ colours and the stuccos’ shape have been rediscovered…light, shining from the majestic chandeliers, reflects itself into the precious Murano-glass mirrors. Everywhere, guests may experience a taste of ancient times, while being surrounded by an oasis of pleasure and calmness.
The hall’s and the sitting rooms’ gorgeous atmosphere is recaptured inside Salone Ducale. It is suitable for wedding banquets or parties and congresses, welcoming until 200 people. Saletta Naviglio and Boiserie are the best locations to organise more confidential gatherings. The mansion’s versatility turns it into a meeting-point providing both the utmost comfort (video projectors, monitors, DVD players, translation and secretarial service), and an unforgettable evocation of the ancient times.
Villa Ducale is provided with eleven rooms supplied with televisions…., direct phone lines, air conditioning, refrigerators, bathrooms with showers or bathtubs and hairdryers: all of them are different, furnished in Venetian style with precious and rare fabrics. Some of our rooms also have a charming view─through delicious small and spacious balconies─on the century-old park.
Villa Ducale also offers its own restaurant service, “ Le Colonne,” which is characterised by a wisely-mixed union between the region’s gastronomic tradition and the chef’s creative cues. All the courses are prepared according to the natural change of seasons, combining quality and simplicity.

From Santa Lucia train station: cross the Degli Scalzi bridge ( in front of the station) and keep walking straight for 2 minutes just to Piazzale Roma. Here you could buy a bus ticket for Dolo and catch the bus marked Dolo or Padova. It leaves at the stop Corsia C4. Ask the driver the closest bus stop to the hotel Villa Ducale.
From Venice–Mestre rail- station: take the subway under the train station in the direction "Marghera", cross the road and walk for 50 yards. You’ll find the bus stop on your right. It takes about 20 minutes to get Dolo.
From Marco Polo airport: take the bus to Piazzale Roma and buy a bus ticket to Dolo and catch the bus marked Dolo or Padova.
The hotel is at 20 km from Marco Polo Airport in Tessera (Venice) and 40 Km from Treviso Airport. By car: from Milano-Bologna: take the A4 Autostrada and exit Dolo-Mirano, then follow signs to Mira–Dolo. When you arrive in the centre of Dolo, go straight on and after 1 km you will find on your left Villa Ducale.
