| The Grand Hotel Bristol was inaugurated in 1911 when the Tigullio was an international tourist destination of the highest level. In 1925 the Minister for Foreign Affairs and future Prime Minister Austin Chamberlain stayed here during his state visit with the head of the Italian government, Benito Mussolini. Winston Churchill also chose the Grand Hotel during his stay on the Riviera in 1927 when he was the Chancellor of the Exchequer and again in 1945 after having lead to United Kingdom to victory in the Second World War.
The Grand Hotel’s unique position in one of the Gulf’s most charming areas, opposite Portofino – Italy’s yachting haven – allows one to soak up the tranquillity, silence and the relaxing atmosphere that represents the true privilege of this exclusive getaway, which has undergone a complete internal restructuring that sees the property now home to this renowned architectural project.

By air
On arriving at Genoa Airport guests can reach the hotel via the comfortable, rapid and punctual bus service. Busses leave the airport every 30 minutes and arrive at the train station/town centre of Genoa. Alternatively, guests can avail of the hotel’s transfer service. Taxi’ and car hire companies are also available at the airport.
By train
Rapallo station is just 2 km from the hotel. From here guests can reach the hotel by taxi in approximately 10 minutes. Alternatively they can take the bus in the direction of Chiavari (approximately 15 minutes).
By car
From Rapallo's motorway tollbooth, continue until you reach the seafront, ensuring that the sea is directly on your right and that you are heading in the direction of La Spezia. The Grand Hotel Bristol Resort & SPA is situated around 1km from the seafront on your left.
