| This guesthouse is a typical noble "lucchese" residence with high coffered ceilings and original tiled floors.
The beautifully preserved original features such as unique arched stained-glass windows and medieval stone walls give the property a sense of elegance and old world charm. The property itself is part of the Torre del Travaglio, one of the three medieval towers of Lucca dating back from the XIV century.
There is a large formal reception room for the use of guests. This room contains antique furniture such as a large central table over which is surmounted a beautiful crystal chandelier. Here guests will find a selection of books, city maps, and information about events happening in Lucca and around. Wi-Fi is also available.

L'Antica Bifore guest house has four spacious matrimonial suites, La Divina, Beatrice, Dante, and Paradiso.
Each suite is different in its architectural shape and form. They have beautiful frescoes and unique pieces of period furniture. Three of the suites have arched stained-glass windows (called "Bifore" in Italian) that lookout on to via Fillungo, while the fourth overlooks a private courtyard.
While maintaing the old world charm each room offers modern day comforts for a pleasurable stay. They are all equipped with digital T.V. air conditioning and individual heating controls.
All of the suites have their own private bathroom. All the bath products that are provided are from a tuscan organic range outsourced from a local grower.
For families we offer the possibility of connecting bedrooms if required. An extra bed is also available per room at a cost of €20 per night. We can also provide a baby cot if needed.
We offer the opportunity to let the whole of the guesthouse to one party for specific occasions such as a wedding group. |

By car
Autostrada - A11 Exit to Lucca. Park your car outside the city walls and:
From Porta Santa Maria: after the bar at the corner enter Via Fillungo and walk until you reach n. 5 we are in front of the San Cristoforo Church.
From Porta Elisa: enter via Elisa until you reach via Santa Croce, pass piazza Bernardini, at the corner between Via Roma and Via Cenami the street on the right is Via Fillungo. We are at n. 5.
By train
From S. Pietro door (train station): enter in Corso Garibaldi, after that turn to the right in Via San Girolamo and go straight until you reach a public square, piazza del Giglio, go ahead in via Beccheria until piazza S. Michele, turn right in via Rome after which the first street on the left is Via Fillungo. We are at n. 5.
By airplane
Pisa airport is the nearest at 20 km from Lucca. From here you can reach Lucca by train or bus (about 30 minutes).
By public transportation
From piazzale Verdi (bus station): enter in via San Paolino and go straight on, after san Michele square enter in via Rome after that the first street on the left is via Fillungo. We are at n. 5 in front of the Saint Cristoforo Church. |
