| Pietre Nere Resort is a new building with wide and bright spaces which will surprise you for its refinement and the care for details, such as the backlit holes which enrich the pillars and the vertical surfaces of the hall, recalling the rock coasts of the nearby Cava Ispica. Through the big glass-windows which characterize the ground floor of the building, you get to the winter garden, an elegant space where every idle moment of our guests’ stay will be turned into a total relax. The outdoor area offers many different corners where to relax your mind and body surrounded by a striking natural landscape: among palm trees, flower vases and waterfalls, you may choose to have a rest under the big circular bower, or by the swimming pool, always looked after by our careful and professional bar service. For those willing to be inebriated looking at the stunning view of our countryside, a visit to the roof garden is something not-to-be-missed, there you will find an equipped solarium, excellent to end a meeting, take an aperitif, or have a rest after dinner. The hotel has twenty-eight rooms on two floors and two big suites set in a separated building, which is the result of the renovation of a pre-existent rural edifice located in front of the hotel, which is an ideal solution for families with children, or groups of friends, jealous of their own privacy. The rooms are spacious and bright and some of them also have a nice patio. A common feature is the chromatic choice: white, as a symbol of elegance and purity; the only clashing element is the bathroom wall which is covered by an oak boiserie. Modern and functional furniture, beds with sommier and white leather bedhead, furniture and interior design items and refined linen, they all contribute to bring about a sophisticated environment, further embellished by the beauty of the landscape which may be appreciated through the exterior holes. The curtains, whose nuances are always sober, diffuse an etheral light during the day, while in the evening the lighting comes from the leds on the ceiling, ideal for reading, and a restful light diffuses from the false ceiling; all that in order to make our guests’ stay particularly relaxing. All the rooms are fully equipped with bathroom with shower, hair-drier, air-conditioning, minibar, safe, lcd television, satellite TV, internet connection. The electronic badge ensures a top security. Twenty-four-hour room service. Pietre Nere Resort offers many different opportunities to those who wish to spend a restful and calm stay. The hosts will enjoy the solarium, furnished with a special care for design, the 150 square-metre-wide swimming pool with a whirlpool bath, as well as the bright reading room and its comfortables sofas. An efficient bar service will satisfy any need in a professional and fulfilling way any moment of the day. At disposal, a tennis and five-a-side football ground, surrounded by the typical greenery of the Mediterranean scrub and, on request, a fully equipped meeting room, suitable for about 80 people, perfect for business meetings, small conferences and presentations. Along with the opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet within our resort, we also offer an efficient concierge service. We will be pleased to help out guests in the discovery of the surrounding territory, with its colours and sweet smells. Not only the places of the baroque art ( Modica, Ragusa, Scicli, Noto), but also nature trails and excursions ( Cava Ispica, The Oasis of Vendicari, watermills and so on), tours in the places of Montalbano, sailing boat rides along the Mediterranean coasts and food and wine itineraries, which will be a permanent and unique memory. A car park for visitors has been built along the east side of the building and it has a reserved area for tourist coaches. |

| How to reach us From the Airport of Catania take first the s.s 114 to Siracusa and then the A18 Siracusa- Gela; exit at Rosolini and follow the S.S 115 ( direction Modica/ Ragusa). | The facilities of the hotel are completed by the modern restaurant "Spirito Mediterraneo" which will allow our guests to savour the traditional specialities of the Sicilian gastronomical tradition, which are reinvented in a modern way. The catchy suggestions of our chef will meet the most exigent tastes. Key points of our cuisine are the accurate choice of the raw materials, selected among the Sicilian and national excellences which are produced by certified farms, and the great care for the periodicity. Every course is the result of the wise use of products which have a certified and established quality both at a national and internationl level, starting from the extra vergin olive oils of the Hyblaean Mountains, which are unique in terms of flavouring, colour and refined taste. The sensorial experience will swing from the delicate, armonic and pleasant hot taste of the Biancolilla and the Cetrale, to the blends of mint and oregano of the Moresca, the Hyblaean Tonda and the Verdese. To exhalt the savours of the dishes sometimes also contributes the use of the twelve/twenty-five-year aged vinegar produced in farms whose traditions are handed down from father to son, while the herbs are directly picked up from our garden. Nothing is left up to chance; even in the choice of the salt, the white one of Mothia with its peculiar silver highlights, has been the elected one. The bond with the territory is well shown in the dishes, prepared with egg pasta, or dried bronze-extruded Sicilian durum wheat pasta; same for the meat, which comes from local breedings, and for the fish, which is fished in our sea. The tradition is evident at the end of the meal, when the moment of the dessert is turned into the rediscovery of the famous chocolate of Modica. Not only a prosaic suggestion of flavours, but a journey to discover some tasty and delicious combinations: our Sicilian caponata made with local vegetables, Ragusa pie with seasonal vegetable cruditè, smoked chine of pork of the Nebrodi, genuine stewed octopus with beads of yellow potatoes, aubergine ravioli in a souce of red prawn and dry cherry tomato, mullet fillet with marjoran ricotta cheese served with a concassé of basil tomato, these are only some of the mouthwatering suggestions of our chef. The elegant interior hall, which can host 120 covers, together with the stunning external environments for a total capacity of 180 covers, all offer a variety of solutions that can recreate the ideal scenery for both business and convivial meetings, banquets, without spoiling the atmosphere of total relax which is ensured to the guests of the resort. |
