Historical 14th century hamlet, Borgo il Poggiaccio is situated between Siena and San Gimignano, amid the gently rolling Siena hills, one of the most enchanting landscapes of Tuscany and one of Italy's culturally richest regions. The hamlet has recently been completely restored, but keeping a magic ancient atmosphere. It has in fact a remarkable tradition, both historic and architectural, recently reconstructed in all its magnificence, creating a very romantic medieval atmosphere. In the past in fact it used to be an autonomous, independent structure, with its school, bakery, carpenter and various other activities that even today it is possible to identify through the names of its apartments. All the 14 apartments - different in architecture from each other, and in size from 50 to 140 m2 - have a beautiful open fireplace in the living room and a well equipped kitchen. Hotel service and breakfast with extensive buffet are included in the price. The Residence does also have 6 double rooms, equipped with all utilities and services to guarantee a pleasant stay. Borgo Il Poggiaccio has a large swimming-pool (225 m2) with sunbathing terrace, deck-chairs and sun umbrellas, but also tennis and basketball courts, table tennis and mountain bikes. Questo antico borgo del XIV secolo, situato tra Siena e San Gimignano, fra le colline della campagna senese – uno dei paesaggi più incantevoli della Toscana ed in una delle zone culturalmente più ricche d'Italia – è stato recentemente ristrutturato, mantenendo però una magica atmosfera antica. Il Poggiaccio può infatti vantare una notevole tradizione, storica ed architettonica, recentemente ricostruita in tutta la sua bellezza, creando così un’atmosfera medievale molto romantica. In passato infatti il Borgo costituiva una struttura autonoma, con la sua scuola, il forno, il falegname e varie altre attività che ancora oggi sono rispecchiate nei nomi dei suoi appartamenti. I 14 appartamenti, che variano da 50 a 140 m2, ognuno architettonicamente diverso dall'altro, sono tutti dotati di un bel camino e di una cucina attrezzata. Il servizio hotel e la prima colazione con ricco buffet sono compresi nel prezzo. Il Residence dispone anche di 6 camere matrimoniali con tutti servizi per garantire un piacevole soggiorno.
